Commentary on Philippians 4:9

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.Fourfold learning: emathete, parelabete, ēkousate, eidete (learned, received, heard, saw). Prāssete ("practice")—do what you learned. Result: ho theos tēs eirēnēs ("God of peace") with you. This verse contributes to Philippians chapter 4's themes of joy, peace, contentment, and gratitude—Paul's prison epistle climax showing joy transcending circumstances through Christ's sufficiency.
