The bloodthirsty hate the upright (אַנְשֵׁי דָמִים יִשְׂנְאוּ־תָם)—literally 'men of bloods' (anshei damim), those who shed blood violently, hate the blameless (tam, perfect/upright). This isn't mere dislike but visceral hatred (sane).
