And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him—Prophecy masquerading as parable. The verbs predict Jesus's passion: ἐκβαλόντες ἔξω τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος (ekbalontes exō tou ampelōnos)—'casting out of the vineyard.'
