Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection (Σαδδουκαῖοι λέγοντες ἀνάστασιν μὴ εἶναι, Saddoukaioi legontes anastasin mē einai)—Luke introduces the Sadducees by their defining denial.
