Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish (אַל־תִּרְשַׁע הַרְבֵּה וְאַל־תְּהִי סָכָל, al-tirsha harbeh ve'al-tehi sakhal)—If verse 16 warns against self-righteous excess, verse 17 warns against presuming on grace.
