The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity—divine contrast illuminates human corruption. While Jerusalem's leaders are predatory lions, ravenous wolves, reckless prophets, and faithless priests (verses 3-4), Yahweh remains tsaddiq (צַדִּיק), perfectly righteous.
