And shall begin to smite his fellowservants—The evil servant's rebellion manifests in abusing authority: typtō (τύπτω = strike/beat) the syndoulous (συνδούλους = fellow-servants). The horizontal relationship reveals the vertical reality—abusing God's people proves false profession.
