Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Of His own will (boulētheis, βουληθεὶς) He begat us (apekyēsen, ἀπεκύησεν) by the word of truth (logō alētheias, λόγῳ ἀληθείας), that we should be a kind of firstfruits (aparchēn, ἀπαρχήν) of His creatures.
