He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. These words constitute the greatest announcement in human history. 'He is not here' (οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε/ouk estin hōde)—the tomb designed to hold the dead cannot contain the Author of Life.
