Thou couldest have no power at all against me (οὐκ εἶχες ἐξουσίαν κατ' ἐμοῦ οὐδεμίαν/ouk eiches exousian kat' emou oudemian)—Jesus asserts absolute sovereignty even from the prisoner's dock. The word exousia means delegated authority, not inherent power.
