From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering—this verse extends restoration's geographic scope to earth's extremities. "Beyond the rivers of Ethiopia" (me'ever le-naharey khush, מֵעֵבֶר לְנַהֲרֵי־כוּשׁ) designates the farthest known regions south of Israel, possibly the Nile's headwaters or beyond.
