Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. This verse describes the wicked men from whom David seeks deliverance (v. 1), specifying their internal and external evil. "Which imagine mischiefs" (asher chashvu ra'ot be-lev, אֲשֶׁר חָשְׁבוּ רָעוֹת בְּלֵב) exposes their thought life.
