He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour (מוֹכִיחַ אָדָם אַחֲרַי חֵן יִמְצָא, mokhiach adam acharai chen yimtsa)—מוֹכִיחַ (mokhiach, 'one who rebukes, reproves, corrects') brings אַחֲרַי (acharai, 'afterward, later') the discovery (מָצָא, matsa) of חֵן (chen, 'favor, grace'). Initially painful, faithful correction produces later gratitude.
