Jesus teaches the Emmaus disciples: 'And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself' (καὶ ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ Μωϋσέως καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν προφητῶν διερμήνευσεν αὐτοῖς ἐν πάσαις ταῖς γραφαῖς τὰ περὶ ἑαυτοῦ).
