Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. This verse celebrates the privilege of divine election and access to God's presence. "Blessed" (ashrey, אַשְׁרֵי) is the same word beginning Psalm 1—"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly."
