Deliver me from the oppression of man (פְּדֵנִי מֵעֹשֶׁק אָדָם, pedeni me'osheq adam)—Padah means to redeem, ransom, rescue. Osheq is oppression, extortion, exploitation. Human tyranny obstructs obedience; redemption from it enables faithfulness.
