Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD (יִזָּכֵר עֲוֺן אֲבֹתָיו אֶל־יְהוָה, yizacher avon avotav el-YHWH)—the verb זָכַר (zachar, "remember") with עָוֺן (avon, "iniquity, guilt") asks God to hold ancestral sins in active memory for judgment.
