But the chief priests moved the people (οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς ἀνέσεισαν τὸν ὄχλον, hoi de archiereis aneseisan ton ochlon)—The verb ἀνασείω (anaseiō) means to shake up, stir up, incite.
