Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory (δὸς ἡμῖν ἵνα...καθίσωμεν, dos hēmin hina...kathisōmen). The verb δὸς (dos) is an imperative—"Grant!"—revealing presumptuous boldness.
