I appoint unto you a kingdom (διατίθεμαι ὑμῖν βασιλείαν, diatithemai hymin basileian)—The verb diatithemai means to covenant, to assign by legal arrangement. This is covenantal language: Jesus bequeaths kingdom authority to His disciples as the Father bequeathed it to Him.
