Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day—Jeremiah recalls the otot u-mofetim (אֹתוֹת וּמֹפְתִים, signs and wonders)—the miraculous plagues through which God delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage (Exodus 7-12).
