And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.Israel requests mediation—'speak thou...let not God speak' (דַּבֵּר־אַתָּה...וְאַל־יְדַבֵּר, dabber-attah ve'al-yedabber).
