The Story

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'

Go and Tell Everyone!

Kids Version

Jesus told His disciples to meet Him on a mountain in Galilee. When they saw Him, they fell down and worshiped Him!

Jesus had something VERY important to tell them.

'ALL power in heaven and earth has been given to Me,' Jesus said.

The disciples listened carefully.

'So HERE'S what I want you to do: GO! Go to ALL the nations—every country in the whole world!'

Jesus continued: 'Make disciples everywhere. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I've taught you.'

That was a BIG job! Go to the whole world? Tell EVERYONE?

But then Jesus said the best part:

'And remember this: I am with you ALWAYS. Even to the very end of the world.'

Jesus wasn't going to leave them alone! He would be with them every step of the way.

This is called the 'Great Commission.' Jesus was giving His followers their mission—their special job.

And guess what? This job is for US too! Jesus wants EVERYONE to hear about Him. That includes people in every country, speaking every language.

Some people become missionaries and go far away. Some people tell their neighbors and friends. But ALL of us can share Jesus with others!

And Jesus promises: He's ALWAYS with us. We're never alone. He'll help us tell others about Him!
