For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. God Himself promises to be chomat esh saviv (חוֹמַת אֵשׁ סָבִיב, a wall of fire round about). Fire symbolizes both protection and judgment—enemies cannot penetrate it without being consumed. Unlike stone walls that can be breached, God's fiery presence provides impenetrable defense.
