The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous. The triple repetition of Yahweh (יְהוָה) emphasizes that God Himself—not human intermediaries—performs these saving acts. Poqeach ivrim (פֹּקֵחַ עִוְרִים) "opens the eyes of the blind" includes both physical healing and spiritual enlightenment (Isaiah 42:7).
