And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy (καὶ ἐλθὼν εὑρίσκει αὐτοὺς πάλιν καθεύδοντας, ἦσαν γὰρ αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ βεβαρημένοι)—The verb καθεύδω (katheudō, 'to sleep') describes physical sleep, not spiritual indifference (though spiritual lethargy contributed).
