My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death (περίλυπός ἐστιν ἡ ψυχή μου ἕως θανάτου)—Jesus declares His psychē (soul, inner life) is perilypos (surrounded by grief, overwhelmed with sorrow) to the point of death itself.
