I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces (וָאֹחֵז בְּפִילַגְשִׁי וָאֲנַתְּחֶהָ)—the verb 'cut in pieces' (נָתַח, natach) is used for butchering sacrificial animals (Exodus 29:17; Leviticus 1:6).
