"And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple" (Ἠκολούθει δὲ τῷ Ἰησοῦ Σίμων Πέτρος καὶ ἄλλος μαθητής/Ēkolouthei de tō Iēsou Simōn Petros kai allos mathētēs)—the verb ἀκολουθέω (akoloutheō, "followed") is the standard term for discipleship.
