Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches (מֵרֹב כָּל־הוֹן, merov kol-hon)—Damascus, Aram's capital and one of the ancient world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, traded with Tyre due to the abundance (rov) of both Tyre's manufactured goods (ma'asayikh) and Damascus's own wealth (hon).
