And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it (וַיֹּאמֶר הַשְׁלִיכֵהוּ אַרְצָה וַיַּשְׁלִכֵהוּ אַרְצָה וַיְהִי לְנָחָשׁ וַיָּנָס מֹשֶׁה מִפָּנָיו)—Cast it on the ground—obedience precedes miracle.
