Eliezer Shulman's "The Sequence of Events in the Old Testament" (page 107) places Joshua's birth in the year 2406 AM by working backwards from Joshua's death 14 years (judging while the Tent of Meeting was in Shiloh), 14 years (conquering and apportioning the Land), 40 years (wandering in the wilderness) to the Exodus in 2448 AM when Joshua was 42 years old.
