Divine Decrees
The Eternal Decree
Theology Proper · 6 verses
From all eternity, God by the most wise and holy counsel of His will freely and unchangeably ordained whatsoever comes to pass. This decree is singular, comprehensive, and all-encompassing, yet it neither destroys the liberty of second causes nor establishes God as the author of sin. The decree renders all things certain while maintaining the reality of creaturely agency.
