In Christ we have redemption and forgiveness according to God's abundant grace.
Redemption means being bought back from slavery. Christ's blood is the price that purchased our freedom from sin's slave market. But this redemption also includes forgiveness—the removal of our guilt and shame. All of this flows from God's rich grace, not our merit.
