Read this verse in depth with cross-references and study notes
Paul reminds us that earthly weapons are useless in spiritual battles—we need weapons with divine power.
The weapons we fight with are not of this world: they are prayer, Scripture, faith, worship, and the name of Jesus. These weapons have divine power to demolish strongholds—those fortified patterns of thinking and spiritual opposition that seem impenetrable. Human effort and wisdom cannot break these strongholds, but God's power through spiritual weapons can utterly destroy them.
Apply This Today
Identify one stronghold in your life or mind today and attack it with prayer, Scripture, and faith—weapons with divine demolishing power.
Prayer
Lord, equip me with Your divine weapons to demolish every stronghold. I reject earthly weapons and embrace the power of Your Spirit to win battles. Amen.
