Blow up the trumpet in the new moon (תִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר)—The shophar (ram's horn) announced the chodesh (new moon), particularly the seventh month's new moon (Tishri), the Feast of Trumpets.
