Mine eyes fail for thy salvation (כָּלוּ עֵינַי לִישׁוּעָתֶךָ, kalu einai lishuatekha)—The verb kalah means to be consumed, spent, exhausted. The psalmist's eyes waste away watching for God's deliverance (yeshuah), the same root as 'Jesus' (Yeshua = salvation).
