Journey to Emmaus: 'And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.' On resurrection Sunday, 'two of them' (δύο ἐξ αὐτῶν, dyo ex autōn)—disciples but not the Eleven—traveled to 'Emmaus' (Ἐμμαοῦς, Emmaous), 'threescore furlongs' (σταδίους ἑξήκοντα, stadious hexēkonta, about 7 miles) from Jerusalem.
