As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Jesus delivers one of Scripture's most shocking prophecies: ouk aphethēsetai lithos epi lithō hos ou katalythēsetai (οὐκ ἀφεθήσεται λίθος ἐπὶ λίθῳ ὃς οὐ καταλυθήσεται, 'not will be left stone upon stone which will not be thrown down').
