Justification means God declares us righteous based on Christ's work, not our performance. This judicial act creates peace with God—the war is over, the hostility ended. We didn't negotiate this peace; Christ achieved it through His death and resurrection. Now we stand in right relationship with our Creator, no longer enemies but friends.
