Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not (בְּלֹא רְאוֹת, b'lo re'ot)—'without seeing,' denoting complete lack of intention. The stone may have been deadly ('wherewith a man may die'), but the thrower didn't see the victim.
