The country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel (הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר הִכָּה יְהוָה לִפְנֵי עֲדַת יִשְׂרָאֵל)—they acknowledge God's military victory using the verb נָכָה (nakah, 'to strike down/defeat').
