A unique case arrives: 'they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil' (προσηνεγκαν αυτω ανθρωπον κωφον δαιμονιζομενον). The combination of muteness (κωφον, unable to speak) and demon possession connects the physical symptom to spiritual cause.
