But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also (ὅτε δὲ ἐβλάστησεν ὁ χόρτος καὶ καρπὸν ἐποίησεν, τότε ἐφάνη καὶ τὰ ζιζάνια)—phanerōthē means 'became visible, revealed.'
