What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? (Τί σοι θέλεις ποιήσω; Ti soi theleis poiēsō?)—Jesus's question seems obvious—a blind beggar wants sight. But thelō (to will, desire) requires articulation of desire, transforming vague hope into specific faith-request.
