Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness—the Hebrew hoy boneh beito belo-tsedeq (הוֹי בֹּנֶה בֵיתוֹ בְּלֹא־צֶדֶק) begins with the prophetic hoy (הוֹי, 'woe'), a funeral lament pronouncing doom.
