Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves—After seven days, the altar is fully purged (יְכַפְּרוּ, yĕkhappĕrû, 'they shall atone for/purge') and purified (וְטִהֲרוּ, wĕṭihărû, 'and they shall purify/cleanse').
