And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline (וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלַי מָה־אַתָּה רֹאֶה עָמוֹס וָאֹמַר אֲנָךְ)—God engages Amos in dialogue, asking what he sees.
