Biography

The fourth king of Judah and son of Asa, Jehoshaphat was one of the righteous kings who sought the Lord and removed high places and Asherim from Judah. He strengthened Judah's defenses, sent teachers throughout the land to instruct the people in God's law, and won a great victory when he led the people in worship before battle. However, he made unwise alliances with the wicked kings of Israel.
