Biography
Also known as Uzziah, the son of Amaziah who became king of Judah at age 16, Azariah sought God and prospered greatly. He strengthened Judah's military, built towers, and developed agriculture. However, in his pride, he unlawfully entered the temple to burn incense, and God struck him with leprosy. He remained leprous until his death, while his son Jotham governed.
